Marion Romano

March 7, 1943 — July 18, 2015

Marion D. Romano, age 72, resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at St. Clare Manor.

Marion was a graduate of Catholic High School and Louisiana State University. He was the retired owner of Romano's Pack & Save. Marion was an Audiophile, LSU enthusiast, coach of youth basketball teams and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen Romano; children, Jannifer Watts and husband Steve, Shannon Moore and husband Derek, Joseph Romano and wife Elizabeth, and Chris Martin and wife Caroline; grandchildren, Cassidy, Austin and wife Kelsey, Emily, Stephanie, Luke, Macon, Garrett, Connor, Presley, Abby, and Jack; frist great-granddaughter, GiGi, who is expected to be born in September; and siblings, Michael Romano and wife Susan, and Dominica McCants and husband Junius.

Marion is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Rose Romano; and former wife, Charlene Romano.

Family would like to thank Jaime Gaudin, the staff of PACE (Paw-Paw Daycare), and the staff at St. Clare Manor for their care and support during our difficult time.

Visitation will be observed from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2015, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
