Marion Louise Crais Fabre, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, passed away on April 13, 2012 at The Carpenter House. Marion was born in Baton Rouge on December 10, 1932. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in 1949 and Baton Rouge Business College. She was a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and spent over 20 years working with local clients and businesses in the Baton Rouge area. She earned national attention as the lead consultant during reconstruction of The Dow House in Plaquemine. In addition to her professional career, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to delight her family with fabulous meals. Her hobbies included gardening, writing childrens stories and caring for her wild raccoons who visited daily. She will be missed by so many dear friends and relatives especially Margery Fabre and Joy Graham. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Horace Knute Fabre and her son, Keith Arnold Fabre, brothers Richard Crais, Jr. and Robert Crais. Survivors include daughters Christine Beach, and Lisa Beck, two sons, Michael Connie and Clinton Fabre and grandchildren Michael Fabre Jr. Richard Beach II, Rachel Beach, Matthew Bennett, Fabre Bennett and Austin Fabre great grandchildren Grace Beach, Jason Beach, Payton Beach, and Olivia Derbigny. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church and the memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 17th at 11:00 AM. The church is located at 12424 Brogdon Lane. Final resting place will be The Mausoleum at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway Phone 2257531440.
