Marie Young

A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical CenterMid City. She was 82 and a native of Anacoca. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Wednesday, Feb. 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and in the chapel Thursday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Hubert E. Young two daughters and soninlaw, Rhonda and David Garner, and Cheryl Bananno two sons and daughtersinlaw, Greg and Dana Young and Earl and Sandy Young two sisters, Doris Barnick and Deltha Ruffin 12 grandchildren, Brandi, Tarah, Sharolyn, Noel, Sicily, Elaine, Steve, Ashley, Crystal, Niki, Bobby and Brandon and 18 greatgrandchildren. She was a member of the New Orleans Jazz Club.
