Marie Territo, age 93, of Baton Rouge, passed away on May 30, 2016. Marie was born in Napoleonville, Louisiana to John and Joanna Pastiro on February 12, 1923. She was a graduate of Bossier High School. She married the love of her life Ciro Joseph "CJ." Territo in 1946 and they remained happily married for over 62 years. They operated a produce stand on Highland Road for over 60 years providing many residents of Baton Rouge with their famous tomatoes and sweet corn.
Marie is preceded in death by her beloved C.J.; her parents, John and Joanna Riili Pastiro; her brothers, Charles Pastiro, Joseph Pastiro, and Henry Pastiro; and her sisters, Josephine Russo; Lena Churchill; Josephine Tombrello; and Julia Gullo.
Marie is survived by her son, Samuel Joseph Territo and his wife Sandra Bond Territo; her daughter, Linda Territo Hunt and her husband James Anthony Hunt; her grandchildren, Jodie Territo, Samuel Territo Jr., Ashley Grady wife of Terry Grady Jr., Courtney Hunt, and Austin Hunt; her great grandchildren, Hillary Shields, Rob Melancon, Matthew Grady, and Lucas Territo.
Pallbearers are Samuel Territo Jr., Austin Hunt, Rob Melancon, Charles "Chuck" Churchill, Vincent Russo Jr., and Matthew Maniscalco. Honorary Pallbearers are her beloved brother-in-law Anthony Joseph "AJ." Territo, and her beloved nephew Frank "Sonny" Churchill.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Thursday June 2nd beginning at 10:00 AM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM with the burial to immediately follow.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Sonny and Santina Churchill and their family who treated their Aunt like royalty and included her in so many of their wonderful trips including a visit to Italy. The family would also like to thank Vince and Lorena Russo and their family for including her in their Thursday night hamburger ritual and their Sunday dinners that she looked so forward to. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Beverly Broussard and Mary Ann Territo who were also there any time their Aunt Marie needed them.
