Marie P. Tookie Satterthwaite

A retired secretary with St. George Catholic Church she died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 88, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Alexandria. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Oct. 29, from 1:30 p.m. until religious service in the chapel at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank Bass. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Charlene S. Bryant, Brandon, Miss.; two sons, Jimmy P. Hollis and wife Linda, Baton Rouge, and Ronnie J. Hollis and wife Mariela, Denham Springs; three sisters, Jerry Bates and husband Gene, Baton Rouge, Ella Deville, and Sue Cayer and husband Tony, all of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Merlie Pourcy Hunt, Arkansas; brother-in-law, J.D. French, Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Satterthwaite; and several brothers and sisters. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
