A homemaker and a resident of Baker, she died at 4 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at Lane Nursing Home, Zachary, due to progressive supranuclear palsy. She was 81 and a native of Paulina. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. until service at 1:30 p.m. She is survived by four daughters, Loretta Braud and husband Kenneth, Sharon Reed and husband John, Deborah Kessel and husband Jim, and Lola Swenty and husband Ray; sisters, Antoinette Kling and Melda Petit; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Poche; parents, Moise and Eugenie Brady; and nine siblings. A very special thank you to her extended family at Lane Nursing Home. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club. She was an animal lover and enjoyed league bowling as well as arts and crafts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lane Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund.
