Marie Major

Marie Louise Major,
native of New Roads and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the age of 80. She trained as a registered nurse at the Charity Hospital of New Orleans and had a 40 year career caring for those in need.

Marie is survived by her sister, Doris Major Baugh nieces, Carol Taylor, Marilyn Terry, and Susan Germano and nephews, Tim Tircuit, Elwood Tircuit, Doug Tircuit, Roland Major, and Stephen Baugh. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Major and Evelyn Chemin two brothers, Kirby and Bruce Major and sister, Judith Tircuit.

A Graveside Service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 9:00 am.
