A wife, mother and grandmother, she died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at home. She was 81, a native of Port Vincent and resident of Denham Springs. She was a housewife and former hairdresser. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by pastors Gordon and Josh Atwell. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her three daughters, Patricia Ann Miller and husband Morris Woody, Anita Jane Sluss and husband Jack, and Lauren Kay Avara and husband Randy; son, Joel Steven Lass; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Arthur A. Lass; parents, O.T. and Louise Brignac Cambre; four brothers, Leo, Oscar, Aynaud and Alton Cambre.
