Marianne Bennett

Marianne was granted her Angel Wings on February 16, 2015 when her gentle heart ceased at the age of 54.

In her late 40's Marianne became increasingly confined to a wheelchair due to progressive complications related to Spina Bifada. She was an incredible artist and loved spending time with her family and communicating with friends. She spent many peaceful hours sitting outside and enjoying nature. Marianne's spirit will live on in our memories and her beautiful art. Prior to her physical disability she was a Design & Engineering Assistant.

Marianne is survived by her husband, Matthew D. Bennett; son, Mason D. Bennett; father, John J. McManus Jr.; step-mother, Jeanne Blanchard McManus; sister, Sharon Elliott and husband Buford (Tim); brother, Michael McManus and wife Angela; nephews and nieces, Shane Hebert Sr., Mike McManus, Alex McManus, Sarah McManus and Taylor McManus; and great-nephew, Shane Hebert Jr.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Moroy McManus; son, Jason Allen Miley; brother, Timothy John McManus; maternal grandparents, Francis and Nita Moroy; paternal grandparents, John J. McManus Sr. and Nell McCarthy McManus.

Visitation for Marianne will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home in Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 9 am - 11 am with religious service at 11 am to be conducted by Reverend Donald Blanchard.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory immediately following with graveside service at 11:45 am with Reverend Wayne Miley.
