Marian Rita Carbo Leonard passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. She was 88 and a native of Donaldsonville. She was a loving wife and mother who truly enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marian is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Gail Leonard of Lafayette, Elizabeth Anne and her husband, Keith Sauls of Glen Rose, Texas, Bonnie Marie and her husband, Jeremy Simon of Denham Springs; two sons, Philip Joseph Leonard and his wife, Abby of Central, Wayne Michael Leonard and his wife, Christine of Central; two sisters, Ruby Comoletti, Elsie Cooper; two brothers Raymond Carbo, Gerald Carbo; 11 grandchildren, Jacob Strickland, Amanda Shaffer, Eric Leonard, Jessica Strickland, Brett Leonard, Jackson Strickland, Kaci Ernest, Philip Wayne Leonard, Savannah Ringe and Tami Ringe; step grandson Herbert Guhn III and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Allen Leonard; her parents Joseph "Balou" and Lorena Carbo; three brothers, Alech, Donald and Lyoid Carbo; two sisters, Virgile Carbo and Ruth Dugas; grandson, Brent Leonard; step grandson, Christopher Guhn. Special Thanks to Marian's caring neighbor and friend, Joyce Banks. Visiting will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. They will resume on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 9:00 am until Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Jacob Strickland, Eric Leonard, Brett Leonard, Philip Wayne Leonard, Christopher Ernest and Jason Shaffer. Honorary pallbearers are Jackson Strickland, Herbert Guhn III, Jeremy Simon, and Keith Sauls.
