A retired East Baton Rouge Parish school system employee, she died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009. She was 65 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 6, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Miles Walsh. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert Bobby Landry; two daughters, Lisa Landry Bardwell and husband Chuck, and Dena Landry Nezat and husband Brad; son, Craig Landry; three brothers, Joseph Salvato, Raymond Ray Salvato and wife Karen, and Sammy Salvato and wife Wanda; five granddaughters, Kayla Bardwell, Marisa Bardwell, Ashley Landry, Chelsea Nezat Meliet and husband Kurt, and Amber Nezat; great-granddaughter, Alexis Nicole Meliet; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Julia Salvato; and grandparents, Sam and Mary Salvato, and Jack and Annie Guarisco. Palllbearers will be Craig Landry, Ray Salvato, Luke Salvato, Chuck Bardwell, Brad Nazet, Kurt Meliet and Herb Rogers. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
