Marguerite Mitchell

Marguerite, a resident of Port Allen, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at age 86. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, April 28, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Craig Nelms. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by four children, Robert Bob Roberts and Carolyn Peavy, both of Port Allen, Tommy Mitchell Bennett, Franklin, and B.J. Roberts and wife Linda, Shreveport. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Tyrone, Bryan, Carol, April, Joe, Monica, Roxanne, Ramona, J.C., Ken, Lynn, Kandy, Tina, Brandi and Amanda. She was also blessed with 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerry Mitchell and Bobby Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Emmett and Alma Irene Mitchell; brother, C.E. Mitchell; sister, Clarice Pilcher; son, Jerry C. Roberts; and son-in-law, Carl W. Ace Peavy. She was retired from Godchaux's Car Care Center where she worked for 18 years as office manager. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, computer networking and music. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with her family. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. Also a special thanks to Pinnacle Home Health Care.
