A pre-school teacher and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 59. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Nov. 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Tuesday, Nov. 24, from noon until religious service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Shatzley. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by her husband, Peter Zipperer; two daughters, Pauline Zipperer and fianc Randy, and Patricia Zipperer; a son, Peter Scott Zipperer; a stepson, Steven Scott Zipperer; and two brothers, William A. Tinsler III and wife Ann, and Thomas R. Tinsler and wife Monika. Preceded in death by her parents, William Bill and Dorothy Tinsler; and a sister, Judy Cull. She loved working with children, was an active member of St. George Catholic Church and school, was a Girl Scouts leader and enjoyed playing the piano. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the JDRF, Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
