Margaret Berry Peggy Offenhiser, 81, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at the Hospice of Baton Rouge. A memorial service will be held 12 pm Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Nativity Lutheran Church in Brandon, MS. Visitation will follow in the fellowship hall. Mrs. Offenhiser was born in Gulfport, MS on February 1, 1928 and grew up in Prentiss, MS. She was a graduate of Mississippi College in Education and taught elementary school in various places in Mississippi. She later retired to become a full time mother. Mrs. Offenhiser moved to Brandon, MS in 1989 and was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church. She was a leader in the Explorers Bible Study which she cherished. Survivors include daughter, Peggy Jo and her husband, Brian Crochet of Baton Rouge, LA three grandchildren, John, Laura, and David Crochet one sister, Jean Eason of Jackson and her children, Gwen Palmer of Durham, NC and Bowen Eason of Madison, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Jim Offenhiser and her parents, James Jim and Peggy Berry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Explorers Bible Study, P.O.
