Margaret Dorsey

A retired employee with South Central Bell and EATEL and volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Gonzales, she died at 4:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, at Hospice of Baton Rouge. She was 87, a resident of Prairieville and native of Birmingham, Ala. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Friday, Oct. 14, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 17450 Old Jefferson Highway, Prairieville, Saturday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Jan D. Graham son and daughterinlaw, Jimmy and Sue Dorsey five grandchildren, Chris Dorsey and wife Florence, Jennifer Jeansonne and husband Troy, Jason W. Graham and wife JamiLynn, Michael Dorsey and wife April, and Stephanie Graham and five greatgrandchildren, Hayley and Hannah Jeansonne, Alexander Dorsey, Jessika Graham and Zachary Dorsey. Preceded in death by her parents, Vannie L. and Ruby Vines. She was a member of Pioneers of America.
