She was 72, born Aug. 26, 1938, a native of Moorhead, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, from 10am until service at 12pm, conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her daughter, Kimberly C. Bergeron two sons, Arthur L. Callender Jr. and David E. Callender two sisters, Willie Mae Cook Henry and Ruby Cook Church and six grandchildren, Samantha, Eric, Chris and Victoria Callender, Laura Benton and Laiken Bergeron. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Callender Sr. and parents, Willie Houston Cook and Laura B. Cook, sisters, Lavernge Cook Costillow, Billie Carol Cook Ellis and brothers, Joe Cook and Leroy Cook. She loved reading, sewing and schoolrelated activities. She will dearly be missed by her family.
