A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 10:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 88 and a native of Plaquemine. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., celebrated by the Very Rev. Cleo J. Milano, V.F. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by three sons, William J. Leon Jr. and wife Jeanette, of Austin, Texas, Lyndon J. Bourgoyne and wife Sharon, of Jonesville, and Roger J. Bourgoyne and wife Lisa, of Walker; daughter, Charlyn Ellis and husband Billy Ray, of Hattiesburg, Miss.; sister, Mary Gladys Serrett and husband Stoney, Zachary; brother, Charles E. Gary, Plaquemine; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands Lyndon J. Bourgoyne Sr. and William J. Leon Sr.; and three brothers, Earl, John and Ronald Gary. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic
