Lynn Dodge

December 1, 1950 — March 5, 2025

Lynn F. Dodge, 73, of Gonzales, Louisiana, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

A lifelong Catholic, Lynn was a devout member of St. Theresa of Avilia Catholic Church, where she dedicated much of her life to guiding and nurturing the youth. As the church’s administrative assistant until her retirement in 2017, Lynn poured her heart into her work, always going above and beyond to serve the community. Her passion for sharing her faith with others, particularly the youth, was unwavering. Lynn joyfully accompanied many young people on mission trips to Mexico, offering them the opportunity to grow in their spirituality and strengthen their connection with Christ.

Beyond her work with the church, Lynn had a deep love for the Boy Scouts. She devoted countless hours to supporting and mentoring scouts, instilling in them the values of integrity, respect, and service to others. Lynn lived these principles every day and was a role model to everyone she encountered.

Her legacy of faith, service, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Lynn is remembered fondly by her family, friends, and the many individuals whose lives she touched throughout her years of service.

Lynn was a loving mother to Ralph (Lisa) Breaux and Ray Dodge; grandchildren, Victoria and Breanna Breaux, and Jaime and Alyssa Travis. She is also survived by her sisters, Trish (Lonnie) Breaux and Francis (Chuck) Willis along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Joseph and Irma Ford; brothers Roger Ford and Bob Ford; and sister-in-law, Gerry Ford.

A special thank you is extended to The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for their loving and dedicated care during her final days. The family is forever grateful for the comfort and compassion they provided.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1022 North Burnside Avenue in Gonzales, Louisiana. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. until Mass at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.

Pallbearers include Ralph Breaux, Ray Dodge, Chris Breaux, Brady Seals, Josh Breaux, and Lonnie Breaux.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Theresa Youth Ministry in her honor.
