Lucille Sisco Parsons was escorted into Gods presence on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Lucille was born in Franklin County, Mississippi and was the daughter of James and Ollie Sisco. She lived her adult life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her husband of 49 years, Jewel David Parsons. They were members of Lanier Baptist Church throughout most of their life and later became members of Istrouma Baptist Church. In retirement, Lucille and David enjoyed camping with their many friends of the Denham Springs Camping Club. Lucille protected and served her family with the fierceness of a lioness with her cubs. Her children are so grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful mother. Through the years, her husband and children were first in her life, until something called grandchildren came along NayNay was dearly loved and adored by her grandchildren. She always had an open door to her home and nothing gave her more pleasure than to have family and friends over to share a meal at her table. Lucille will always be remembered for her sharp wit, contagious laugh, and a terrific sense of humor. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. on Monday, October 8, 2012 from 12 noon until service at 3 p.m. conducted by Bro. T.W. Terral. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her loving daughters: Demetra Robinson and husband, George, and Theresa Karwath and husband, Fred granddaughters: Jennifer Strickland McGuire and husband, Mike, Christy Strickland Tate and husband, Jeremiah stepgrandsons, Graham and Conor Karwath she was also blessed to have three greatgrand children, Cade and Tallon Tate and Drake McGuire a sister, Clara Terrell sisterinlaw, Jane Bass brotherinlaw, Jack Parsons, and her many nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel David Parsons father and mother, James Earnest and Ollie Sisco and brothers, Rayford, Felix, and Madison Sisco. Special thanks to her nephew, Greg Sisco who often visited his Aunt Cill and took her out for supper on many occasions. The family also wishes to thank the staff at Fidelis, who provided special care and helped preserve her dignity during the last two years of her life. They also wish to express their deep appreciation and love to Lucilles loyal friends, Louise Sibley and Linda Lott and to Lucilles deacon, Doug Pacas and wife, Debbie, who were a blessing to her.
