Lucille Burkett

Lucille Attuso Burkett passed away on November 28, 2018, at the age of 95.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Burkett, Michael Burkett and wife Wanda, Nancy Burkett Watts and husband Gerald, Julius Burkett Jr. and wife Donna, and Gary Burkett and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Jessica Burkett Wright and husband Howard, Mary Courtney Burkett Berdon and husband Lawrence Dean, Emily Messina Readinger and husband David, Jacob Burkett and wife Kaitlin, Jordan Burkett, DeAnn Burkett Fife and husband Brian, Holly Burkett Parenti and husband Marc, Lesley Burkett Restivo and husband Brad, Adam Watts and wife Jennifer, Jode Burkett, Patrick Burkett and wife Laurie, and Amanda Burkett Smith and husband Nathan; great grandchildren. Camille Wright, Mylee Wright, Scarlett-Rose Lucille Berdon, Andrew Readinger, Mary Katherine Readinger, Emma Watts, Lily Watts, Walker Watts, Gerad Watts,Kallie Watts, Kara Watts, Sydney Fife, Kaitlyn Fife, Damon Parenti, Brendan Parenti, Dylan Restivo, Luke Restivo, Rowyn Lucia Burkett, Dayton Glen Burkett, Paige Denise Smith, and Bennett Todd Smith.

Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Julius H. Burkett Sr.; daughter, Mary Lou Burkett Messina; grandson, Geramy Watts; parents, Lucien and Lily Attuso; and 11 siblings.

Visitation will be Friday, November 30, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pall­bearers will be: Jode Burkett, Patrick Burkett, Jacob Burkett, Jordan Burkett, Adam Watts, Gerad Watts, and Julius Burkett.
