Louis Barry Easley, 80, died Sunday, 17 Oct 2021 at The Carpenter House Hospice in Baton Rouge, after a brief illness and years of disability.
Mr. Easley leaves his dear friend and companion Anne Leonard (the second angle in his life), his stepdaughter Carrol Baker, Chance and Cousins.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, the son of the late L. B. Easley and Ruth Nell Favre. He was a lifelong resident of Louisiana.
In his early years, he worked in the family grocery, sold cars, drove a cab. Later he joined the new computer division of Louisiana Government, where he worked until retirement. He started at a time when there were punch cards and hard drives were the size of washing machines. After retirement, he served as Sargent-At-Arms for the Louisiana Legislature.
He met his wife; the late Betty Christine Thomas and they were married in 1968. The first angle in his life. Chris passed in 2015, after 47 years together.
Mr. Easley was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Trinity Union Masonic Lodge #372 F.&A.M. with the Baton Rouge Scottish Rite Consistory. At Mr. Easley’s request the graveside service was led by the Masons of his Lodge. The service was held 20 Oct 2021, at Prairieville Cemetery.
