Louella Jean Woolsey was born May 26, 1945 in Tucson, AZ and passed away on May 14, 2021.
She is survived by one sister, Beverly Hubbard; four children: Curtis, Kim, Kevin and Shauna; five grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, Ashlyn, Daniel and Charity; and one great grandchild Elijah James.
Jean, as she was called, was a vibrant young lady who graduated from Rincon High School in Tucson, AZ. Jean married James Woolsey shortly after high school and they soon dedicated their lives to the work of ministry, world evangelism and missionary endeavors.
Jean lived in Mexico, Peru, Ecuador & Guatemala actively raising her children and doing the work of ministry which included playing the accordion, singing, praying and leading bible studies. Jean and her family moved to Baton Rouge, LA in 1983 to continue missionary outreach with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. This continued for nearly 25 years.
Her life was cut short and made more challenging by sickness in her body. She was a brave soul and always believed God for the impossible, which she finally received, eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
We will miss her insights, stories and amazing cooking. Jean was gracious and generous to a fault. She touched the untouchable and loved the unlovable. She greatly loved many and now she is greatly loved by many.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, May 21, 2021, at 12:30 PM until services at 2:30 PM. Burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations be made to Followers of Christ International (www.followersofchristintl.com) a ministry to Peruvians that Jean supported for nearly 30 years.
