Lori Dodds Bursavich passed away peacefully on August 24, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, South Carolina. Born on April 1, 1956, she was 66 years old.
She was a native of Baton Rouge, but she and her husband Mike had lived in Greenville, SC for many years and loved the beauty of the state. Due to Muscular Dystrophy, Lori had limited mobility, but she was a soft spoken, kind and gentle soul who loved to read and watch movies. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Lori tragically lost her only child, Mikey, when he was only 17 years old. What a joyous occasion for her to be reunited with her precious son in Heaven.
Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bursavich; her son, Mikey Bursavich; her parents, Artis and John Dodds; and her brother, Fred Dodds.
She is survived by her brothers, Steve and Mitch Dodds; brothers-in-law, Greg Bursavich (Marsha), Joseph Bursavich (Wanda), Jude Bursavich (Stacey), and Aki Miyagi (Kathy); and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by close friends, Pam and Tommy Ruember, and Mary and Brad Haeg.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at 10am on Friday September 2, 2022, at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church on Plank Road, followed by mass at 11am, officiated by Father Sam Maranto. Interment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
