Loretta F. Babin, age 76, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017.
Loretta was Valedictorian from St. John High School in Plaquemine, LA. She graduated from business school as a legal secretary, however, she dedicated her life to her loving family as a devoted wife and mother of four children. She loved to cook and created a family cookbook treasured by all. Loretta also enjoyed traveling with her husband and was an avid reader. Loretta enjoyed hosting holidays with her family and she adored her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis Babin; her sons, Nick Babin and his wife, Liz and Steve Babin and his wife, Sharon; her daughters, Gina B. Johnson and Jill B. Chenevert; her brother, Tony Fama and his wife, Kaye; her sister, Mary Janet Devillier, and her husband, Burke; six grandchildren, Chris Kyle Babin, Hillary B. Cater and her husband, Greg, Kristen Delatte, Nick Delatte, Madeline Chenevert, Brett Delatte; and two great-grandchildren, Phillip Babin and Grace Favre.
She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony "Tony" and Lillian Fama of Plaquemine, LA.
Visiting hours will take place at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St George Dr, Baton Rouge, LA on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery.
