Lloyd J. Jay Siemann, Jr. fought a long and hard battle and was called home on Friday, August 12, 2011. He was born on January 13, 1949 and was a native of Baton Rouge. He retired from the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections with 35 years of service. He did not want to leave us. He prayed everyday for everyone, and prayed that God would allow him to see his sons be successful and his little grandchildren grow up. He will now be watching from above. He loved sports of any kind, especially LSU football, and would not miss events his sons participated in. He loved to travel, but most of all he loved his family. He was an LSU marshall for football events after retiring. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Paula Montagnino Siemann two sons and daughtersinlaw, Blake and Tabatha, and Ryan and Kristi and his precious grandchildren the sunshine of his life Caroline, his special little worm, and Jacob, his tough little dude and April Smith. Also survived by his mother, Mary Couvillier sister and brotherinlaw, Cissy and Charlie Tramonte sister Gina Cheveallier and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Lloyd J. Siemann, Sr. and sister Darlene LaPlace. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14, from 58pm and will resume on Monday, August 15 at 1011:30am. Funeral will be celebrated by Father Michael Alello at St. Patricks Church at 12 noon. Pallbearers will be Greg Montagnino, Andy Montagnino, Jeff Alello, Charlie Tramonte, Jarrod Tramonte, Brett Cheveallier, and Brandon Daboval. Honorary pallbearers will be Russell Couvillon, Caroline Siemann, and Jacob Siemann. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Todd Cooley and staff, Dr. Jean Marie Hinkle and staff, OLOL Hospital and Rehab, Promise Hospital, a special friend and caregiver, Dorothy Burris, and St. Joseph Hospice nurses, Tanya and Kristin, who quickly became our angels. We would also like to thank our wonderful family and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this long journey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
