Lloyd V. Causey, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 80. Lloyd was born on September 17, 1943, in Brittany, Louisiana, son to the late Marion and Lennie Norton Causey. After bravely serving in the United States Army for six years and being stationed across Europe, Lloyd began his distinguished career as a technician, specializing in medical equipment installation and maintenance for hospitals. His dedication and expertise in this field left an indelible mark on the healthcare industry.
Lloyd’s passions extended beyond his work. His fellow members of the Hebron Baptist Church can attest to his many volunteer hours and dedication to his faith. He was a member of the New Orleans Yacht Club and the Pontchartrain Yacht Club and was often one of the judges of the sailing races. An avid adventurer, he found delight in rally car racing, sailing, photography, saltwater fishing, genealogy, cooking, and baking. Lloyd's culinary skills were unmatched, known for creating delicious jambalaya, roast with gravy, and mouth-watering cookies.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents Marion Vincent Causey and Lennie Norton Causey; sister Lois LeBlanc; and brothers Marion “Buddy” Causey and Ronald Causey.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Tilley Causey; his sister Sharon Stephenson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11th from 12pm until services at 1pm, with a graveside service to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
