Llewellyn Bares

Llewellyn Louise LeBlanc Bares, a native of Breaux Bridge, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the age of 87.  She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Emery J. Bares; children, Stephanie Krouse (Alan), Lisa Musso (Jerril), Barry Bares (Beth), Damon Bares, and Carolyn Bourque (Wade); 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Holdon and Louise LeBlanc; and siblings, Aubrey LeBlanc, Winona LeBlanc, Janet Boudreau, Wilma Bordonaro, P.H. LeBlanc, and Barbara Rambin.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Lucas Johnson, Austin Gautreau, Ben Bares, Adam Bourque, Alan Krouse, Jerril Musso, and Wade Bourque.  Honorary pallbearer will be Brayden Musso.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area.
