Lisa Harper

Lisa Michelle Harper, age 51, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Butterfly Wing.

Lisa was a graduate of Belaire High School and Southeastern Louisiana University, School of Nursing. She practiced as an operating room registered nurse for several years. Lisa had a great love and dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret Harper; her brother, Benny Harold Harper, Jr. "Hal" and wife Jeannie; her nephew, Bryan Harper, wife Elizabeth and baby Harry; her niece, Rachel Harper and fiancé, Sean Hart; and several aunts and uncles.

Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Benny Harold Harper, Sr. and her grandparents.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 8:30am until funeral service at 10:00am. Burial will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Cancer Society.

The family would like to express special thanks to Zhanna Higgenbotham, RN, of Hospice of Baton Rouge, who was Lisa's friend and who helped care for her throughout her illness. The family would also like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Mary Raven, Dr. Renee Daigle, Ryan Shows and the staff of the Butterfly Wing.
