Linda Gaye Talbert, 52, a resident of Baton Rouge and Osyka, Miss., entered into eternal life and God's peace on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, Miss., surrounded by those she held dearest to her heart, her family. We will always remember Gaye as a beautiful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to so many. She never met a stranger and could have a conversation with anyone she would meet and always find something in common. Taking care of her family filled her heart with love and provided so many moments of happiness. Remembering her care for us will fill our hearts with the fondest of memories. Survived by her beloved, Bishop Draughn, of Oyska; daughter and son, Claire Fussell and Joshua Favaron, both of BatonRouge; stepdaughter, Tammy Ott, of McComb; stepson, Tommy Draughn, of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, Shanyn, Treston, Sawyer and Bishop; stepfather, Howard McBride, of Baton Rouge; sister, Julia Hardy, of Beaumont, Texas; brothers, Larry Talbert, of Springfield, and James Talbert, of Hot Springs, Ark.; stepsister, Donna Radcliff, of Birmingham, Ala.; and stepbrothers, Larry McBride, of San Jose, Calif., and Gary McBride, of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise McBride. Visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Sunday, Aug. 16, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 17, from noon until service at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
