Linda Brown

A retired employee of the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and a resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 8:05 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Jefferson Manor. She was 55. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, July 21, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 22, from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Dale Phillips. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband, Terry W. Brown; mother, Jean Boyett; two sons, Jeremy W. Brown and wife Sherry, and Chris Brown and wife Nicole; a sister, Cathy Allen and husband Eddie; two brothers, Tommy Boyett and wife Judy, and Randy Boyett and wife Donna; and two grandchildren, Morgan Leigh Brown and Kameryn Jean Brown. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Norse Boyett. She was a member of Comite Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Hospice, 11745 Bricksome Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Special thanks to the staff at Jefferson Manor and Cardinal Hospice for the care they gave to Linda.
