Linda Benoit

Linda Ann Lissard Benoit passed away December 24, 2015 at the age of 68. Linda was born May 7th, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Albert and Hilda Lissard. She was raised in Loreauville, LA and was a long time resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of Charity School of Nursing, and worked as a R.N. at Woman's Hospital.

Linda was married to Frank A. Benoit for 47 years; she was mother to Dr. Michelle Clare Benoit and Brent Paul Benoit; "Gammie" to Claire, Maggie, and Connor Lynch, as well as William, Emma and Charlie Benoit.

Passing at 9:05 AM, Christmas Eve, after a long battle with cancer, she is now in the loving arms of her savior, Jesus Christ.

When she learned of her diagnosis, she proclaimed, "To me it's a Win-Win situation. If I'm healed I win, if not I will spend eternity with Jesus."

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dr. Eugene Lissard; and granddaughter, Madeline Lynch.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Benoit; her brother, Randy Lissard, and a loving family.

Services to be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, visitation on Sunday, December 27th, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 28th, 2015 from 12:00 PM until services at 2:00 PM. Garland Mizell of Bethany Church to officiate.
