Lillie Mae Robinson

December 7, 1946 — May 30, 2024

Lillie Mae Robinson, Doll Baby, was born on December 7, 1946, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was one of five children born to the late Tom and Leola Robinson. On Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, she quietly transitioned to her eternal resting place.

Lillie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member at New St. John Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA where she served for many years as an avid choir member.

On November 14, 1966, Lillie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Anthony Robinson. The marriage union produced two children, D’Wayne and Tiffany Robinson.

Lillie was employed with the United States Postal Service for over 40 years. She was also an exceptionally good cook and loved to prepare traditional Louisiana inspired food dishes such as red beans with steamed rice, crawfish bisque and seafood gumbo. She was a naturally soft-spoken lady that loved her family and friends immensely.

She will forever be remembered by her daughter, Tiffany Robinson of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Ashley Robinson-Jackson of Dallas, TX, Farrah and Noah James of Baton Rouge, LA; and great-grandson, Christian Robinson of Dallas, TX.

Lillie is survived by her siblings, Precious (Joe) Delpit of Baton Rouge, LA, JoAnn Woods of Baton Rouge, LA; sister-in-law, Anna Robinson; bonus daughter, Claudette Clay-Singleton; and extraordinary friends such as Priscilla Bailey, Katrina Johnson, and Pamela Breaux. She will be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Leola Robinson; brother, Tom O. Robinson, Jr. (Junior), Henry Robinson (PeeWee); son, D’Wayne Robinson; and niece, Carla Woods-Madison.
