Miss Nell, an avid golfer all her life and a former member of the Sherwood Forest Country Club, joined her husband of 68 years, Lester J. Griffon in heaven on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at the age of 92. She was born Dec. 4, 1919, in Addis. The Rev. Mike Schatzle, of St. George Catholic Church, conducted a private service on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m., in the mausoleum at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her three children, daughter, Nancy G. Bolding and husband Bill W. two sons, Lester J. Griffon Jr. and wife Lynne N. and Kevin D. Griffon and wife Pamela H., all of Baton Rouge two sisters, Gloria R. Wilbert, of Baton Rouge, and Myrle R. Ostergren, of Plaquemine three grandchildren, Shane M. Griffon, Jansen P. Griffon and Kristin L. Griffon and a greatgranddaughter, Carsen L. Griffon. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia N. Griffon parents, Cinclare Edward Rivault and Lillie Maude Clement Rivault two brothers, Harry R. Rivault and Bobby E. Rivault. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Hospice of Baton Rouge, 9063 Siegen Lane, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70810. Also, the family would like to thank her caregivers, Carolyn Perry and Verna Earnest and all the wonderful people of the Hospice of Baton Rouge for their loving care and compassion.
