LeRoy J. Landry, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 at his home on October 1st, 2015 at 8:25am.
LeRoy was a WWII veteran and a graduate of Dutchtown High School and Baton Rouge Business College. He was retired from Ethyl Corporation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Hymel Landry; his daughter, Debra Landry Diez; and his brother, Howard John Landry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jody Landry; his 2 sons, Roy Landry and spouse LaDonna, Todd Landry and spouse Shannon; his 7 grandchildren, Jacob Diez and spouse Jessica, Amanda Diez Stewart and spouse Elvis, Joshua Landry and spouse Sylvia, Christina Landry, Taylor Landry, Derek Landry, and Karlyn Landry; and his great-grandchildren, Debra Grace, Ella and Blake Stewart, Brayden Gutierrez, Sophia Landry and Rebecca Diez. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Cherie C. Bailey and spouse Bill, Greg Campagna and spouse Mary Beth; and his step grandchildren, Bill, Christopher, Madeline Bailey, Ryan and Caroline Campagna, and step great grandchild, Harper Bailey.
LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite pastimes were gardening, woodworking, cooking, and photography. He belonged to the Baton Rouge Daylily Society and had over 300 daylilies in his garden at one time. His garden was featured in the Daylily tour for several years.
The family request that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mass will be said by Father Matt Dupré.
Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
