Leonie Hanoon, age 83, originally from Egypt, and a resident of Louisiana, passed away on April 21, 2017.
Leonie, nicknamed "Nono", worked as a French teacher at St. Joseph's elementary school in El-Minia, Egypt. She was also a talented dress designer and maker. Her life was full of hardships that she turned into blessings with her strong faith in God, and she always came out victorious. Her entire life was guided by a strong Christian faith and the love for our savior Jesus Christ and the Blessed Mother Mary.
Leonie has touched the lives of many people with her kindness and love. She will always be remembered by her hugs and kisses, which will keep us warm every day and night. We hope that she will continue to watch over us from up above and pray for us until we meet again.
Leonie is survived by her daughter, Suzan Ishak and husband Osama Sedky; her son, Sherif Ishak and wife Janet Ishak; her sisters, Bertha Hanoon and Mary Hanoon; her grandsons, Guirges Sedky and Kirolos Sedky; and her granddaughters, Nicole Ishak and Samantha Ishak.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ishak; and her parents, Edwar and Elaine Hanoon.
