Leonard Leblanc

Leonard (Pal) Joseph LeBlanc, Sr., age 78, who was a resident of Denham Springs, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.

A native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, he was a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School and a retiree of Ethyl Corporation and East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Roxanne and Charles Frye, Leonard and Elise LeBlanc, Donna and Michael Ashmore, and Bryan and Elizabeth LeBlanc; grandchildren, Carrie (Aaron) Jones, Marisa (Jennifer) Bowman-Frye, Benjamin LeBlanc, Michele (Ryan) LeBouef, Kimberly Ashmore, Cody (Melanie) LeBlanc , Garrett LeBlanc, Amber LeBlanc, and Megan LeBlanc; step-grandchildren, Bryan (Jenna) and Andrew (Heather) Frye; great-grandchildren, Joseph Jones and Tegan LeBouef; step-great-grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Madison, Lillian, Kayleigh and Andrew Frye; siblings, Leslie J. LeBlanc, Andrew LeBlanc and Betty Bourgeois.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Lou Brister LeBlanc; parents, Andrew J. LeBlanc and Laura Carbo LeBlanc; and numerous siblings.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visiting hours will resume on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Resthaven. Services will be conducted by Deacon Greg LeBlanc, nephew of the deceased.

Pallbearers will be Benjamin LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc, Garrett LeBlanc, Andrew Frye, Bryan Frye, Aaron Jones, Ryan LeBouef, and Bobby Brister.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ollie Steele Burden Manor, 4250 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. 70809, which provided superior care.
