Lelania Ann Seal Paul was called home to our Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on December 28, 2023. Lelania was a resident of Baton Rouge and a graduate of Zachary High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who gave unconditional love to her son, Michael; step-daughters Sadie, Carissa, Shanna; and granddaughter, Collette. Lelania was married to the love of her life, William “Bill” Paul. She thrived in her career in hospitality because of her passion to love and serve others to her fullest. Lelania loved traveling, cooking, and making memories with her many family and friends. She will be most fondly remembered for her class, charm, and infectious love.
Lelania is preceded in death by her father, Terry Alton Seal; maternal grandparents, Margaret “Sis” and Albert “Nebber” McVea; paternal grandparents, Betty and Thayer Seal; aunt, Catherine “Cathy” McVea Holleran; and uncles, Thomas “Tommy” McVea and Donald Paul.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Patrick Paul; son, Michael Alexander Seal; step-daughters, Sadie Paul Loyd and her husband, Jeffrey Loyd, Carissa Paul, and Shanna Paul and her fiancé, Kaleb Mouton; granddaughter, Collette Amelia Mouton; her mother, Mary Alice McVea Seal; her chosen second parents, Patsy and Johnny Dispenza; sister, Abbey Seal Knight and her husband, Matthew Knight; her chosen sisters, Jeanne Katharyn and Elizabeth Dispenza; Brothers-in-law, Brian Paul, David Paul and his wife, Laurie Paul; uncles, Albert “Bud” McVea and his wife, Peggy McVea, Thomas “Whitey” Holleran, Ronald “Ronnie” Seal and his wife, Marcia Seal; aunt, Margaret “Chippy” McVea Adams; cousins, Bryan Haire and wife, Dan Dan Haire, Julie Haire Williams, Jean Haire Capps and her husband, Robert Capps, Sean Michael McVea, Stephanie Seal Harmon and her husband, Mance Harmon, Amy Seal Moore and her husband, James Moore, and Kristin Seal Thompson and her husband, David Thompson; nieces, Julia Mae Knight, Emma Louise Knight, Isabella Grace Dispenza-Haselden, Madelyn Rose Dispenza-Haselden, Jennae Watson and her husband, Bobby Watson; and Nephew, Dave Paul and his wife, Kaitlin Paul.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 9:00a.m. until memorial service at 11:00a.m celebrated by Ronald T. Seal. There will be a private graveside service held at the Young Family Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in Lelania’s honor to The Hospice of Baton Rouge or The Breast Cancer Society.
