Leigh Christine Connor LoBello, 50, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away suddenly on February 14th, 2025. She was born in New London, Connecticut in 1974 to parents Bud Connor and Camille Knox. Leigh attended Bishop Sullivan High School before receiving a degree in Education at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Leigh’s greatest passions in life were her family and her career as an educator. She and her husband Bryan, whom she met and fell in love with during their college years, were inseparable for over thirty years. Leigh adored Bryan and cherished their journey together through life.
As a devoted mother, Leigh found immense joy in raising her beloved son, Keegan. They shared a special bond, and Keegan always turned to Leigh for guidance and support.
Leigh’s passion for teaching was unmatched. For 27 years, she poured her heart into her students, always pushing them to reach their full potential. Most recently, as the Art teacher at Central Intermediate School, she inspired creativity and confidence in her students, making her classroom a place of joy and discovery. Leigh was known for making learning fun—whether through hands-on projects, lively classroom discussions, or dressing up for school events to bring a smile to her students' faces. She was the kind of teacher who left a lasting impact, always going above and beyond to ensure her students felt seen, supported, and encouraged.
Leigh was preceded in death by her parents, Camille Knox and Bud Connor.
She is survived by husband, Bryan LoBello; her son, Keegan LoBello; parents, Alice and Tom Besselman and Charlotte Connor; brother, Sean Connor and wife Jessica; sisters, Katie Holt and husband Bill and Hannah Cinquemano and husband Justin; and nephews, Cole Connor, Caden Connor, Cash Connor, Rhys Holt, and Weston Holt.
