Lee Moreau

Lee Martin Moreau, a native of Cottonport and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the age of 83.  When he first moved to Baton Rouge, he worked for Baton Rouge Lumber and later as an instrument technician at Allied Chemical.  He was married to his loving wife, Patricia G. Moreau for almost 61 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching his grandchildren in sporting/cheering events, traveling near or far. He served on the Catholic High School Men’s Club Executive Committee.  He enjoyed cooking jambalaya for family, friends and many charitable events. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

He was the father of Mark and Paula Moreau, Randy Moreau and Shellie, Terri and Jeff Tate; and Gina Moreau (daughter-in-law).  He was the proud Poppa to Jordan Moreau, Malena and Shawn Jezek, Matthew and Kristen Moreau, Madeline Moreau, Kameron Tate, and Karson Tate.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moreau on Good Friday, 2021.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Elmore and Velma Moreau; brother, Aubrey “Pete” Moreau and sister, Lena Ann Gauthier.

Visitation will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, July 5, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 8:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Moreau, Jeff Tate, Daryl Guercio, Shawn Jezek, Jody Guercio, and Brent Burton.
