Lee Martin

A resident of Baton Rouge, he died on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008. He was 87, a retiree from Uniroyal and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Robert Maranto, of Watson, and Meryl and Don Rodriguez, of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Dany and Debbie Martin, of Watson; nine grandchildren, Cheri Cheveallier, Candi Faust, Ricky Rodriguez, Rachelle Onstead, Dany Martin Jr., Devan Martin, Robert Wayne Maranto, Steven Maranto and Chris Maranto; and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Martin. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ricky Rodriguez, Dany Martin Jr., Jay Faust, Steven Maranto, Chris Maranto and Stewart Henry. Honorary pallbearers are Gordon Taylor and Tommy Lafargue. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Special thanks to the staff of Capitol House Nursing Home and the Butterfly Wing at Ollie Steele Burden Manor for their special care.
