Lee Hargroder

Lee Charles Hargroder 92, residing in Gonzales, LA. Passed away at 8:55 a.m on February 3, 2023 surrounded by his family at his bedside. Lee Charles was born on July 24th, 1930 to parents Joseph Yves Hargroder and Lillian Richard Hargroder in Arnaudville, LA. Lee was a graduate of LSU and served in the United States Air Force from 1953-1955. He was married to the love of his life Jacqueline Scoville Hargroder for 55 years. He is preceded in death by Jacqueline Scoville Hargroder(wife) Nessa Hargroder Hartley (daughter), Joseph Yves Hargroder(father), Lillian Hargroder Mitchell (mother) and Helena Meche Duhon(sister). He leaves behind a huge and loving family including, Kenneth Hargroder(son) Cheryl Hargroder LeBlanc (daughter), and Donna Hargroder Adams (daughter). He had 10 grandchildren, Heather Gaubert, Erin Cage, Blake Cage, Jake Hartley, Seth Hartley, Megan Hartley Cotten, Ashleigh LeBlanc Gonzales, Tanner LeBlanc, Aimee Bourgeois, Jennifer Finnerty. He was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren Londyn, Anna Katherine, and Gracie Gaubert, Kennedy and Kate Cotten, Brock and Jordyn(JoJo)Bourgeois Mason, Lily and Logan Hartley, Branson, Beau and Briggs Gonzales, Jacie and Austin Cage Sofie and Jaxon Finnerty. Special thanks to the Veterans Nursing Home  staff and residents for the beautiful military send off. It meant so much to us all. Thanks also to Shaylee with Hospice for the special care given to my father. Visitation will take place on Tuesday February 7 from 5 to 8 p.m with the rosary at 7:30 at Resthaven Funeral Home and will continue on Wednesday, February 8 from 9am until mass at 10:00 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Jake Hartley, Seth Hartley, Blake Cage, Brock Bourgeois, Shay Cotton and Taylor LeBlanc.
