Lee Bonacorso

May 11, 1923 — February 3, 2010

An avid fisherman and known to many as chief, he died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 86, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of New Orleans. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Deacon Don Musso. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna Mae Bonacorso daughter, Lee Bonacorso son and daughterinlaw, Lonnie and Ruth Bonacorso brother, Martin Bonacorso five grandchildren, Christine Lyon, Traci Lowe, Jeanee Lowe, Brittani Bonacorso and Brandon Bonacorso and six greatgrandchildren, Kayleigh Quave, Landon Fisk, Blake Bennett, Taylor Heck, Alana Bonacorso and Joshua Denova. Preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Lynn Bonacorso and parents, Joseph and Julia Bonacorso. Pallbearers will be Philip Bonacorso, Roddy Boudreaux, Brandon Bonacorso, Landon Fisk and Blake Bennett.
