A retired steel fabricator, he died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 73 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Dec. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Milford Walters. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Rosemarie Ree Trahan; daughter, Connie Whitehead; two sons, Charles Chuck Arceneaux and wife Linda and Ronald Ronnie Arceneaux and wife Kim; four grandchildren, Blasia Rivet and husband Brant, Bliss Dufour and husband Adam, Lanie Arceneaux and Blair Arceneaux; and great-granddaughter, Annalyse Rivet. Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence D. Trahan Sr. and Ida Ponson; granddaughter, Brandy Nicole Arceneaux; great-granddaughter, Hayden Bliss Dufour; and brother, Willie D. Trahan. Pallbearers will be Brant Rivet, Adam Dufour, Anthony Pacaccio, Wes Hart, Anthony Bailey and Danny Lemoine. Honorary pallbearers are Gerald Kiegley, John Bailey, Luke Simon and John Brown.
