A retiree of Ethyl Corp. and a native of Labarre, he died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 80 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, was on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting continues at the chapel on Sunday from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by five daughters and four sons-in-law, Patricia and Steve LaRochelle, Carolyn and Ray Welch, Linda and Mark Kuhn, Susan and James Glass, and Laura Landry; a sister, Vivian Robillard; a brother, Robert Landry; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Welch, Rebecca LaRochelle, Steven LaRochelle, Jennifer Rodriguez, Matt Kuhn, Daniel Welch, Stephanie Landry, Melissa Welch, Jimmy Glass and Katie Glass; three great-grandchildren, Keegan and Gavriel Rodriguez, and John LaRochelle, to be born at any time. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Earl Landry; son, Lawrence Joseph Landry Jr.; an infant daughter, Angelia; and parents, Robert and Odile Landry.
