Lauris Tate Hernandez of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, June 18,
2012 at the age of 86. She was born in Sunset, La, on August 19,
1925, to the late Adam and Agnes Miller Tate. Visitation will be held
at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, 2012, from 9:30 until
religious services at 11:30 am conducted by Rev. Mike Schatzle. Burial
to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be her
grandsons. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Teme P.
Hernandez Sr., PH.D son, T. Paul Hernandez Jr daughters and
sonsinlaw, Patricia H. and John Iry Quebedeaux, and Sandra H. and
Michael Leo Evans grandchildren and their spouses, John I. and Dianne
Ammons Quebedeaux, Elizabeth Q. and Aaron Duncan, Janie Q. and Eric
Wells, Timothy and Jessica LaBorde Quebedeaux, Patrick and Ashley
Johnson Quebedeaux, Michael T. and Jodie Goodwin Evans, Andrew W. and
Angie Louque Evans eight great grandchildren, Alex and Kevin
Quebedeaux, Allison Seward, Sadie and Lauren Duncan, Ethan and Ryder
Wells, and Claire Quebedeaux sisters, Anna Jane Tate Terrell, and
Virgieline Tate Acosta. She is preceded in death by her parents
granddaughter, Katherine Q. Seward brothers, Ray Tate and Huey Tate
and sister, Sadie Hernandez. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made to Charter Health Care or your favorite charity. A special
