Lamar Frank Partin Jr; a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a resident of Walker, LA; passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 79. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He retired from Baton Rouge Fire Department at the rank of District Fire Chief. He was an avid gardener and fisherman. He preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Frank, Sr. and Mary Newman Partin; his brother, John Thomas “Jack” Partin; sister, Mary Iris Partin Mitchell; and his grandson, BJ Boudreaux. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Slack Partin; his children, Cindy Horn (Ronnie), Fr. Lamar Partin III, Michael Partin (Ashley), Scott Partin; his grandchildren, Katherine and Joseph Partin, Ronnie Horn, Jr.; great grandson, Brayden Boudreaux; special cousin, Elizabeth Taylor; and good friend Thomas Berry. The family would like to give special thanks to Julie and Lisa with Baton Rouge Hospice and Chaplain Todd Vickery. A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 10:00am. A reception will be held immediately following the graveside service at Resthaven Funeral Home.
