Lacey Dickerson

June 25, 1941 — January 16, 2013

Lacey Lee Dickerson was born on June 25, 1941. He passed away January 16, 2013 at the Baton Rouge General Hospital Bluebonnet. He was 71 and a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of New Roads. He Retired from Borden Chemical and was a Veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Violetta Gammill Dickerson daughter, Dina Dickerson son, Kevin Dickerson three, grandchildren Laci Lyn Dickerson, Ian Turner Dickerson and Avelyn Shea Dickerson two brothers, Ralph Dickerson, and Thomas Dickerson and wife Lucille Dickerson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Turner Dickerson and Jeanne Pourciau Dickerson, and a sisterinlaw, Paula Burnett Dickerson. He was a loving father and grandfather along with being a wonderful husband of 44 years. He was a diehard LSU fan and a passionate photographer. He will surely be missed but never forgotten. Geaux Tigers and Aim High Pallbearers will be Kurt Johansson, Robert Thibodeaux, Casey Weigand, Doug Paul, Richard Miller, Jesse Griffin. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Visitation will be on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until funeral services in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
