Kristy Fontenot

A resident and native of Baton Rouge, she died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Promise Specialty Hospital in Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 32. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Wednesday, July 30, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home chapel on Thursday from 10 a.m. until religious service at noon, conducted by the Rev. Timmothy Burnett. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her parents, Frank C. Skip and Leslie L. Fontenot; maternal grandfather, Abel A. Leonard; sister, Kelley Minton and husband Duke; and three nephews, Zachary, Hunter and Jordan Minton. Preceded in death by her maternal grandmothers, Rowena Leonard and Louise Leonard; and paternal grandparents, Josie M. and Donald D. Fontenot. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral. Pallbearers will be Greg Allen, Lavon O'Neal, Larry Benedetto, Joe Allen Pino, Gabe Taylor, Jordan Minton and Mark Lanier. Honorary pallbearers are Zachary and Hunter Minton.
