Kristi Wilson May, our "Lean Mean Cancer Fighting Machine," is NOW present with The Lord.

Kristi, born October 31,1972, demonstrated strength and courage as she battled oral cancer for more than a year before her death on October 6, 2018.

Kristi is survived by her devoted husband David L. May and her loving sons Hunter Wascom and Hudson May. Others who mourn her death include her mother, Sandra Wells-Wilson; her father, Carl Ray Wilson (Charline); her siblings Kimberly Manix (Brian) and Marty Wilson (Tonya and their son Brayden). Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Jeanie Howell (David); father in-law, Ray May (Linda) as well as her sisters-in-law, Kristy Carr (Chad and their children Anna, Hayden and Cooper), Chelli Abadie (Donnie and their children, Tyler, Rachel and Raegan), Lisa Frankovic and her daughter Kylie, and Ashley Howell and her daughters Addison and Chloe. Other family members are her aunts, uncles and cousins as well as her Ocshner family of coworkers.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 9:00 am until funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Kristi requested no floral tributes. Instead you may donate in her memory to Ocshner Cancer Center or Istrouma Baptist Church. She wanted a celebration of her life and some words from her posts say," I want everyone to know if you don’t already that I am a born again Christian and my eternity is secure. And if I go before you, I’ll be sure to meet you at Heaven's gates.”
