Khristen Abshire

Khristen Lynn Abshire passed away in her sleep at her home in Denham Springs, LA, on Saturday, March 9, 2013. The very same morning she stood before her Heavenly Father without pain and without disability. It had always been her great hope and faith that what she could only imagine would be truthto stand and praise her Lord without need of a wheel chair. Khristen was 15, a native of Lake Charles, LA. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Central and was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles for many years. Khristen is survived by her parents, Jared and Kari Wall of Denham Springs, LA sister, Kaitlyn Jackson and brother, Keith Wall of Denham Springs, LA, as well as her maternal great grandmothers, Shirley Simmons of Iowa, LA, and Opal Courville of Lake Charles, LA grandparents Mike and Angel Courville of Elko, NV, Hilery and Karen Fontenot of Lacassine, LA, Donald and Patricia Wall of Baton Rouge, LA. uncles, Matt and Joshua Courville of Iowa, LA, Jason Wall and wife Angie, her aunt and uncle Miska and Corey Fruge, of Iowa, LA, the children of Angel Courville, and her cousins Steven, Austin, Hannah, Taylor, Hannah and Hayley. Finally, Khristen was survived by her beloved service dog, Hughes Abshire who served her faithfully for two years. She is also survived by countless friends and loved ones. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home 11817 Jefferson Hwy on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 10:00 am until funeral service at 3:00 pm. Burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
